Soft play is expressly prohibited in most card rooms, and may result in penalties ranging from forced sit-outs to forfeiture of stakes or winnings. soft break Exchanging a large bill or chip into both chips and cash, when a player buys in. splash the pot To throw one's chips in the pot in a disorderly fashion.
