Always Split Aces When the dealer shows an up-card that is an Ace, he offers the online players insurance. Insurance is generally limited to half of the original bet. If the dealer does have Blackjack, your winning insurance bet will be paid at odds of 2:1… However, you will lose your original bet (unless you have Blackjack). Ultimately, you will break even. If the dealer does not have Blackjack, you lose your insurance bet and have your original bet to play out with. And if both you and the dealer have Blackjack? Your insurance will win 2:1.
Even Money
Even Money Even Money is offered to the holdem player when the player is holding a Blackjack and the dealer has an Ace up. This is insurance simplified. All you have to do is state you want ‘even money’ and you are guaranteed a profit even if the dealer does have a Blackjack. But, remember you’re holding out at a price, you could win at 2:1 odds if you didn’t take the even money bet.
