Check. To signify, as commonly used at Stud, Draw, and their variants, that the player doesn't want to bet in that turn of play, but does propose to remain an active player, reserving the right in his next turn of play to bet, call, raise, reraise or drop out. A player cannot check his bet if a bet has been made earlier in that round. Also known as "pass."
