Before he can make any judgment of his winning chances of the kind of hand he holds, he must consider the following factors: 1. The strength of the probable best hand among his opponents. 2. The chances of his bettering his own hand. 3. The likelihood of being outdrawn and losing the pot. 4. The probable size of the pot and what it will cost him to play. 5. Whether the strength of his hand calls for him to play or not to play.
