Try to play them heads up and in position. Most times, you can expect to see at least one over card on the flop and quite often 2 or all three. Playing a pair with over cards on the board is much easier when you are in position.
Small Pairs 2'S thru 5’s Small pairs are a money maker, in the long run. These are the type of starting hands that will most likely lose small pots or win large ones. The basic strategy is to see the flop as cheaply as possible to try to catch a set and if you don't improve, fold to a bet.
