Eric Steiner, one of London's top five Texas Hold'em Poker wizards, and my companion on my London scouting Texas Hold'em Poker club mission, offered this sage advice: "Make sure to spot your opponent's tell before he spots yours." When looking for an opponent's giveaway, Steiner takes into account the way his opponents are sitting, their previous playing habits, how they bet, and even their conversation. It's a combination of all these things that reveal an opponent's tell.
To be a winning Online Hold'em Poker player, one must adopt a style of one's own. Some do best to sit online hold'em pokerfaced at the table, others find it more effective to keep up a constant line of chatter. Neither type should overdo it. Every winning Online Hold'em Poker player must be a good actor to prevent his opponents from spotting his tell. However, overacting can become a heavy liability if it becomes a habit other players can spot.
