I attacked the Blinds with enthusiasm. I raised $200. To my surprise both Blinds called. The dealer flopped: 5. 5. 7.. Both Blinds checked to me. I bet $200. The Small Blind folded quickly. The Big Blind hesitated and limply called. The turn card came showing: 5. 5. 7. 10.. The Big Blind checked.
I bet $400. The big blind hesitated again, and reluctantly called. As I held my breath, as the river card was exposed: 5. 5. 7. 10. 2.. The Big Blind checked. I was really happy, no Ace was showing, no was King showing, and I had top pair. I thought I had a sure winner. I bet $400 with glee. Suddenly, the Big Blind looked up at me and raised $400! I was in shock. This was more chips than I had on the table. If I called, and lost, I was out of the tournament.
