The following are some examples to help illustrate this procedure. Hand #1 There is $30 in the pot, pre-flop, with one other holdem player in the hand. You flop top pair, top kicker with 2 Hearts on the flop. If your opponent has a flush draw he has 9 outs or a 18 % chance of making his flush on the Turn. This is approximately 4 to 1 odds. If
you bet $10 your opponent will be risking $10 to make $40. He would be getting 4 to 1 on a 4 to 1 chance of making his flush. Any bet greater than $10 will keep him from getting correct pot odds.
