The rules of play for this game are the same as those governing standard Draw Texas Hold'em Poker, except that the rank of hands is just the opposite of those in the standard Draw game, and anything opens. In addition, the ace may be used as high card only, and must not be used to rank as low with a value of 1. Straights, flushes and straight flushes count high and against you. The low hand is evaluated by the rank of its highest card. If there is a tie between highest cards, it is evaluated by the rank of its second highest card, etc. The value of the lowest card is irrelevant to the hand's value except when on the showdown the four higher cards are exactly matched by one or more players. Example: A nine high mixed suit hand such as 9-7-6-5-3 would beat a nine high mixed suit hand 9-7-6-5-4. In this Deuce to Seven Lowball variation, the lowest-ranking cinch hand and certain winner is the 7-5-4-3-2 in mixed suits.
Here, beginning with the cinch hand, I have listed the ten best hands. There are mixed suits, of course. Any hand in a superior rank beats any hand listed below it. 7-5-4-3-2 (cinch hand)
