Now let’s see where an ‘ideal’ betting strategy might lead one as discussed in Section 5 below. 5. An ‘Ideal’ Standard Betting Strategy (‘Saving the Win Streak Earnings’) Table. 5-1 is termed An ‘Ideal’ Betting Strategy because the “winning” results are good and only one loss is experienced (Risk) but it is large and consequently can be devastating to one’s purse and one’s morale. However, the results are the same as any other betting strategy in that for a 50 /50 game there is no average gain or loss. Because “wins” are somewhat difficult to come by, one would like to save the earnings made during Win Streaks and not lose money during the Lose Streaks. Table 5-1 accomplishes this.
Some observations about Table 5-1: 1) The beginning bet is $20 and if the hand is won the bet regresses to $5 and continues at $5 up to Win Streak six. The Cumulative if Lose (amount earned) after the Win Streak of 1 increased from $15 to $35. When the Theoretical Number of Streaks Occurring are taken into account (after the Win Streak of 1) the Average Amount Won/Lost for each streak is obtained. For this Win Streak betting (Streak 2-6W) the amount is always positive (although decreasing.) Note: the ‘hole’ at Streak Length of 2 is no longer zero or negative; thus, Streak Length 2 is not wasted in playing!
