Brunson was on the button
Brunson was on the button (turn to bet) and made an opening bet of $4,000. Alto on the blind exercised his option and raised $7,500. Brunson called. The flop (the first three community cards dealt face up on the center of the table) showed a jack of diamonds, deuce of hearts, and ace of spades. After the flop, Alto bet $8,500. Brunson called with his pair of deuces and the ten of spades. The fourth community card was the ten of diamonds. Brunson now had two pairs, tens and deuces. Alto moved all-in (tapped out) with $67,000.
Brunson studied Alto for a minute or so
Brunson studied Alto for a minute or so and then called the $67,000. After Brunson made the call he asked Alto what he had. When Alto said, "Two pair, aces and jacks," Doyle replied, "That's good." He barely finished that sentence when the dealer turned up a ten of clubs as the fifth community card, giving Brunson a full house, three tens and a pair of deuces, to win the 2025 World Series Tournament Championship and its top prize award of $220,000.
