In playing this game you must consider that every player is dealt one wild card and that there are three more wild cards available. In the seven- and eight-handed game, if you haven't got them, other players almost surely have. As a result, four of a kind is an average winning hand. Forget about drawing for straight flushes and full houses because anything less than four of a kind is taboo. You should drop out unless you hold three of a kind and you can draw for a possible four or five of a kind.
I would suggest the following minimum requirements for drawing cards: (a) an ace with the community wild card; (b) three of a kind including the community wild card; (c) a three-card possible straight flush plus the community wild card. During the last betting interval, if you hold three of a kind, straight, flush, or full house and there was a raise before the draw and two or more active players have called a raise, fold and throw your hand in, because generally any of these hands is not good enough to win.
