51. Knock Poker
51. Knock Texas Hold'em Poker Knock Texas Hold'em Poker, or Rap Poker, is the direct survivor of Whiskey Poker. This fascinating game for three to five players is designed not only for Draw Texas Hold'em Poker fans but for Rummy players as well. At the start of the game, each player antes one chip into the pot, and is dealt a hand of five cards (as in Draw Texas Hold'em Poker) from a regular 52-card deck. The remaining undealt cards are then placed face down in the center of the table to form a stock from which players draw, as in Rummy. The top card of the stock is turned face up on the center of the table to begin a discard pile, as in most Rummy games. Then each player in turn, starting with the leader (or non-dealer if there are only two players), may take either the last discard or the top card of the stock, after which he must discard a card to reduce his hand. As in Gin Rummy, a player may not discard a card he picked up from the discard pile until his next turn of play.
