Third, after the cards have been riffled together, release your hold and with the palm of each hand slide (push) them into a single block by bringing your palms toward each other. Never take the cards off the table either for the shuffle or in the act of squaring the deck.
Fourth, get into the habit of cutting the deck just for insurance at least once during the shuffle by pulling out the bottom half and slapping it onto the top between riffles—good protection against locaters who keep track of certain cards during the shuffle.
