The man at the dealer's left possesses the best player position, and no matter who knocks, he will have as many draws as any other player. The dealer possesses the worst position. If he knocks, all other active players will have one more draw than he has prior to the showdown.
When to knock: Generally, the more players in the game the higher-rank hand you will need to knock. A player should abstain from knocking with a pair except when he happens to be the first or second man to play. Three of a kind warrants a knock on the second round, but the farther a player is from the dealer, the higher his three of a kind should be. Mathematically speaking, it's a fifty-fifty proposition in a seven-handed game that someone will possess a full house at the end of this third draw. So play it conservatively and keep track of the cards picked from the discard pile by your opponents.
