The following comparisons do not reflect exact mathematical equivalents —nonetheless they do give the Low or High-Low players an easy method to gauge the strength of their hands. Following, for the first time in print, is the best possible comparison of Low hands to those of standard Texas Hold'em Poker.

The 6-4-3-2-A, also known as a sixty-four

The 6-4-3-2-A, also known as a sixty-four or a six, approximates a royal flush and cannot be beaten. 2. The 6-5-3-2-A, known as a sixty-five or a six, approximates any straight flush. 3. The 6-5-4-X-X, also known as a sixty-five or a six, approximates any four of a kind. 4. The 7-4-3-2-A and 7-5-4-X-X, known as a seventy-four, seventy-five or a seven, approximates any full house. 5. The 7-6-3-2-A and 7-6-4-X-X, known as a seventy-six or a seven, approximates any flush. 6. The 7-6-5-X-X, known as a seventy-six or a seven, approximates a straight. 7. The 8-4-3-2-A and 8-5-X-X-X, known as an eighty-four, eighty-five or an eight, approximates any three of a kind. 8.
