The crucial feature of this game is the eight community cards divided into four groups of two community cards each and the rule that a player may only make use of either one or two community cards from any one of the four groups.
One familiar with Spit in the Ocean variations would usually think that with eight community cards resting on the table, full houses and four of a kind would be the average hands. Quite the contrary. The average-rank winning high hand is two pairs or three of a kind. The best low hand is about a nine high. If a player is dealt a high four-card straight or flush, his chances of filling in are 8 to 1 in his favor. Should a player be dealt four low cards, the chances of catching a fifth low-card hand are about 7 to 1 of filling in. A medium or high pair dealt hand is worth one or two bets. The game is tricky: Be careful that when making use of a community two-card row you select the one that helps you most.
