These starting hands can be any two cards like King - 2, 10 - 8, or 9 - 6. Very often, a holdem player will win a big pot by getting lucky with two "rags" and develop a fondness for the hand. They feel that this is their lucky starting hand and will like to see flops with it, even if they have to call a substantial pre-flop raise.
