High-Low Split Draw Poker

High-Low Split Draw Texas Hold'em Poker Played the same as Cincinnati with five cards in the hand and five community cards resting in the center of the table. Hence there is plenty of opportunity for a player to win both high and low. The best low hand is 6-4-3-2-A, as shown under General Rules for Texas Hold'em Poker, pages 43-45. This game is played without a declaration. On the showdown, "cards speak."

Five Community Cards

Five Community Cards Pay no attention to a possible straight, since even if made, this is seldom a winning hand. In the event that three low cards are among the community cards, it is not at all uncommon to find that two or more players tie for low. If you hold a pair of aces in your hand and the first and second face-up community cards don't possess a third ace or pair one of your three odd cards, fold (throw your cards in), the reason being that you still need two favorable cards to make a full house and must catch those two out of the three remaining face-down community cards. But, most important, pay attention to the betting in the early rounds. If two or more players show strength and if three or more active players remain for the showdown, usually the winning hand is a high full house.
