My comments concerning the Buenos Aires Bridge accusation should not be construed to mean that cheating does not take place in national and international championship tournaments. As a matter of fact, of the more than three thousand Bridge tournaments played annually in this country and abroad, few, if any, are completed without one or more incidents in which a team appeals to the tournament directors for redress from some cheating practice committed by an opposing team. And much more tournament cheating takes place that goes undetected by the players. I know because I've seen it.
