The game is played the same as Seven Card Stud, with the following exceptions and additional rules: The number of raises permitted in any particular round is three except when only two active players are involved. Then they can raise to their heart's content. In this variant, each active player is required to declare, after the last betting interval but before the showdown, whether he is going for high, for low or for both. At the showdown, each player's best five cards out of his seven may be used to form either a high or a low Texas Hold'em Poker hand, or he may also use his two best groups of five cards out of his seven to form both a high and a low Texas Hold'em Poker hand.
The rank or value of high hands is the same as in any Online Hold'em Poker game; however, low hands are the reverse. The Scarne rule that follows is to count aces as both high and low. Therefore, the cinch or perfect low hand is 6-4-3-2-A of mixed suits. If they are all of the same suit it counts as a flush and in effect becomes a disaster when playing for low. Similarly, straights, including A-2-3-4-5, are considered high and disastrous for the low player. Treating the aces as either high or low adds extra zip and skill to Seven Card High-Low Stud Online Hold'em Poker.
