Keep your eye on the discards; an unskilled cheater will often reach for a valuable card for use in his hand. When you spot him, he is kidding; when you don't, he takes your money. If the game is honest and the cut or playing charge is small or nonexistent and you still lose consistently, what is the cure? It's a simple one, and I've already mentioned it, but it bears repeating. Here's the way I put it in one of my World War II lectures at Fort Benning when a soldier said, "I have been a consistent loser at Texas Hold'em Poker since the first day I arrived in camp. Is there any advice you can give me to help me win at my next Texas Hold'em Poker session?" "Yes," I told him. "There is one big secret, a Texas Hold'em Poker policy which, if put to use, will not only make you a winner at your next session but at most of them. It's a policy that is practiced religiously by the country's best Texas Hold'em Poker hustlers. It is the only surefire rule that wins the money.
