Practice Matters

1. Seven face-down cards are dealt, one at a time, to each player, moving clockwise from the dealer's left. Keeping their hands con cealed, even to themselves, the players arrange them into a pack, which is placed face down on the table. Then the player to the left of the dealer rolls over (turns face up) one card and bets on it. After the betting round, the player to the leader's left rolls over cards until he beats the card turned over by the leader. There is another betting round. Play continues in this way with each remaining player. 2. This procedure of rolling over cards until the player beats the card turned over by the player before him, followed by a betting round, continues around the table. 3. When a player runs out of cards without beating the preceding player, he is out of the game. 4. Play continues around the table until one player presents an unbeatable hand and wins the pot.

95. Anaconda Seven Card Stud

95. Anaconda Seven Card Stud This game is played like Seven Card Stud except for the following: 1. Seven cards are dealt, face down, one at a time to each player. A single betting round follows, beginning with the person on the dealer's left. 2. After the close of the betting round, each player passes three cards of his choosing, face down, to the player on his left. The pass is made simultaneously by all players on a signal from the dealer. Following the pass, a betting round commences with the player to the dealer's left. 3. On completion of the second betting round, each player passes two cards, face down, to the player on his left, and a betting round follows in the same manner as before. 4. After the third betting round, each player passes one card, face down, to the player on his left, and a betting round follows in the same manner as in rule 2. 5. After the betting has stopped, each player selects his best five cards and places them, face down, in a pack before him on the table. 6. On signal from the dealer, each player rolls the top card of his pack. When everyone has one card exposed on the table, a betting round opens, starting with the player exhibiting the highest card. Then another card is simultaneously rolled over by all active players, and another round of betting follows, and so forth. The game can be played either as a high game or as a high-low game. In the latter case players must declare low or high hands at the end of the betting round when only one card remains, face down, in front of each player. This last card is then rolled for the showdown, and low and high hands divide the pot.
